My Story

The Olive Ridley Team are always looking to increase our presence in the marine world and help other organizations with like minded individuals striving to save sea turtles. We would like to raise some money to help smaller up and coming projects around the world to help their local communities save sea turtles. We have been contacted by India and Ghana to be involved with rescuing turtles and raising awareness of the threats to sea turtles on their coasts.

In order to facilitate we would like to offer support for fundraising, awareness events and see if we can develop similar rescue facilities in situ. Our lead veterinarian will be travelling to various rescue centres this year and gaining experience in how best to help support smaller local communites. The aim of these funds is to allow for travel costs, educating local rescuers in sea turtle husbandry and also help to provide medical care where needed.

As well as supporting similar rescue centres, we’re always hoping to improve our facilities on the island. So any medical equipment, such a medications or surgical instruments that need to be replaced or purchased could be donated specifically through this page! We will issue lists of items that would be gratefully received!

Thank you again!
